How AirGap Folio handles user data.

When hosted access is enabled, the service may store account identity, subscription status, trial status, payment references, and privacy-safe activity records needed to operate access and support.
Portfolio data
Selected portfolio files are processed in the browser. Imported records, settings, goals, expenses, and snapshots are stored in that browser profile and are not uploaded to AirGap Folio as a hosted portfolio. Browser workspace storage is not separately encrypted by AirGap Folio, so anyone with access to the same unlocked browser profile may be able to access it.
Retention and shared devices
The local workspace remains in the browser until it is reset or browser storage is cleared. Browser-profile deletion, storage clearing, device loss, or storage eviction can remove it. Use a protected device/browser profile, reset the workspace after use on a shared device, and keep a current encrypted backup.
Backups
A plain JSON backup contains the complete portable workspace without encryption. Encrypted JSON is the recommended format and is encrypted in the browser with a password that AirGap Folio does not store or recover. Keep the password separately from the file.
Payments
Payments are processed through Razorpay. AirGap Folio does not store card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN, or netbanking credentials. Payment confirmation and references may be stored for subscription and audit purposes.
Network actions
Market-data refreshes are explicit actions and send the scheme, instrument, symbol, date, or currency-pair identifiers needed to request NAV, quote, or FX data. Hosted authentication, privacy-safe product activity, email delivery, and payment processing also require network calls. Raw portfolio files and complete portfolio values are not part of those activity records.
